In order to add a new room to your property and synchronize it with the portals, it is necessary to create the room in the system and in the portals directly, then map them in the Channel Manager. See the instruction below for the details and more information.
Add and synchronize a new room which will be offered as an already existing room type
Follow the steps below if you would like to add a new room with an already existing room type. For example, you have three double rooms already (they are offered under the same room type) and you want to add one more double room:
STEP 1 - create a new room
Click Add Room button in Room Manager.
In Create room window, add the basic information about the room: room name and number of beds.
You can also change the bed type or the colors.
Then, assign the room to the existing room type. Click on Add Room Type button and select it from the list, then click ok Ok button to accept the settings:
Remember to save the new room.
STEP 2 - send the global update
At this moment, the system will apply the room type prices to the new room and it will increase the availability of the room type. After such modification, you can send the global update to portals and the availability will be updated for the next year. You can do it in Availability and Rate Calendar, using Global Portal Update:

Follow the steps below if you want to add a completely new room and synchronize it with the portals under a new room type.
STEP 1 - Create new room in the system
1. Create a new room type
Click on Add Room Type button and select the room type specifications:
Room Class - Private room types (Double, Triple, Family, ...) or dorms (Mixed, Male or Female)
Number of guests
Bathroom - Shared or Ensuite
Prefix
Description
Default price - it will apply automatically to Prices
for example, Superior Double Room Ensuite.
Next, Save and Close it.
2. Create a new physical room and assign a room type to it.
Click on Add Room button and in Create room window, add the basic information about the room: room name and number of beds.
You can also change the bed type or the colors.
Then, assign the room to the existing room type. Click on Add Room Type button and select it from the list, then click ok Ok button to accept the settings:
Next, Save and Close the window.
STEP 2 - Set up the prices
When the room is ready, go to Property Management / Prices and set up the prices for all seasons and rates for the new room type (if the price is different from the default room type price). You will find it at the bottom of the list.
STEP 3 - Create a corresponding room directly on the portals
Now, when the room is already set up in the system, create the corresponding room directly on the portals. Please note that the occupancy and the type of the rooms need to be the same in FrontDesk Master and in the portal. Also, make sure that the room is available for the XML connection.

STEP 4 - Map the new room in Channel Manager
When the room is added in the portals and ready in the system, it's time to connect them in Channel Manager so that the system can synchronize rates, availability, restrictions and download bookings.
Without the mapping, the synchronization will not work.
1. Open Channel Manager and select the portal. Click on Next button in order to see the Room Mapping.
2. Connect the room from the portal (on the left side) with the room type that you created in the system (select it from the list on the right side). When it is done, click on Next button.
3. Map the rates (the system will know from which rate it should send prices to the portal).
Click on Save button in order to save the connection and send the synchronization to the portal.
The new room should be updated in the portal's back office within few minutes.
SUCCESS!
The new room is synchronized now with the portal.
