Virtual room types are rooms that are additional and can be used, e.g., as meeting rooms, parking spots, fitness rooms. You can add bookings for those rooms, but they are in the background, so you do not need to see them instantly in the configurations or reports.
You can mark room type as virtual in Room Manager. When creating a room type or editing an existing one, you can mark Virtual room type checkbox
Room types that are marked as virtual will:
- not be included into statistics on Dashboard
- appear at the end of all room type lists to prioritize actual rooms
- hidden in Prices calendar, or in Prices configuration
In the reports, there is an extra option to choose if you would like to see the results for all room types, only actual room types or virtual. This lets you easily check statistics for accommodation only, or just for virtual rooms.
